Our lives are full of obligations, and therefore it’s important that we take the time to do things that we actually enjoy. It not only makes you feel happier, but it also keeps you healthy and productive. So it’s time to embrace what you like!
Doing something you like energises you, making it easier to get through your daily to-do list. Make a list of activities you enjoy and schedule time for them, Yes! Schedule them, You know the saying; If it isn’t scheduled, it’s not happening. That being said; once you do start to do what you enjoy, you’ll notice that you’re feeling more content just by planning them in. So my question for you is:
What do you like… Let me rephrase that; What do you LOVE to do?
- Going for long walks
- Cook & Bake
- Playing an instrument (or two)
- Watching TV series/movies?
- Listening to Music
- Learning a language
- Catching up with friends
- Enjoying some quiet time
- Learning a new skill
Take out your journal, write down all the things you really enjoy, schedule them in on your phone/in your diary and simply do it! That’s it! Remember, we all have the same amount of time every day, it’s up to you what you spend your time on. It’s easy to use the excuse ‘I don’t have time’, but in reality, it’s not important enough for you to make it a priority.
