Can you believe we are 1 week into 2019 already? It only feels like yesterday when we were getting on the plane to Norway for Christmas (23rd if December to be exact). We only got back  from Norway a couple of days ago and today was our first day back to ‘normal’.

The New Year is just a few hours away! This is the time to reflect on 2018 and take stock, to acknowledge your mistakes and celebrate your triumphs. But it’s also a time to look forward. 2019 is sure to hold many surprises and surely you must be looking forward to starting a fresh year with fresh goals and new ideas. Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do. We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives… not looking for flaws, but for potential. I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something. So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make your mistakes, next year and forever. Make New Year’s goals. Dig within, and discover what you would like to have happen in your life this year. This helps you do your part. It is an affirmation that you’re interested in fully living life in the year to come. Goals give us direction. They put a powerful force into play on a universal, conscious, and subconscious level. Goals give our life direction ♡ . . . #personaldevelopment #inspiration #motivation #success #love #happiness #entrepreneur #wisdom #growth #quote #goals #life #meditation #fitness #mindfulness #positivity #gratitude #business #enlightenment #spiritual #spirituality #peace #yoga #lifestyle #quotes #mindset #selflove #lawofattraction #namaste #positivethinking

I am all about starting my New Year with whatever I’ve planned (new goals, habits, lifestyle changes etc.), but this year I’ve decided to simply go with the flow.

There’s so much pressure from social media and society with New Year’s Resolutions, goal planning, being successful, hustle and more, but the thing is;  It’s perfectly OK to gently and softly ease yourself into the new year. To allow your desires, visions and dreams to clarify and reveal themselves slowly.

Since 2014, I’ve been in the habit of planning out my entire year with big goals and visions I thought I wanted only to realise a few months later that I could no more connect to them. What last year taught me was following; You don’t need to have the whole year figured out, or perfectly planned. The more you learn, grow and evolve, the more your life, vision and goals will change.

Easing into the New Year

You see; you can wholeheartedly own what it is you desire, while also leaving room for the universe to bring you magical and unexpected surprises. As you start visioning your year, see if you can actually get a feel for the dreams that are calling at you.

For me personally, I am still finding my feet in this fresh, new year. I am not rushing for clarity like I used to do, instead I am simply making space for it to find me.

I spent today tuning into my mind, body and soul – something I haven’t done wholeheartedly for the last two weeks while being away. I played music, went for long walks, wrote in my journal and planned out my vision boards for every area of my life.

Love yourself. Forgive yourself. Be true to yourself. How you treat yourself sets the standard for how others will treat you. What you have to decide… is how you want your life to be. If your forever was ending tomorrow, would this be how you’d want to have spent it? Listen, the truth is, nothing is guaranteed. You know that more than anybody. So don’t be afraid. Be alive. Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come. Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome ♡ . . . #personaldevelopment #inspiration #motivation #success #love #happiness #entrepreneur #wisdom #growth #quote #goals #life #meditation #fitness #mindfulness #positivity #gratitude #business #enlightenment #spiritual #spirituality #peace #yoga #lifestyle #quotes #mindset #selflove #lawofattraction #namaste #positivethinking

My plans, goals and intentions will manifest in their own time. But for now, I just want to bring a light, creative and playful energy to this start of this new year.

How have you been feeling in this first week of 2019?
