Practising some regular self nurturing is a great way to help you feel better about yourself, rebuild your confidence, sense of self-worth and self-esteem.
Though it is amazing to being looked after and nurtured by others, don’t rely solely on them for nurturing – you need to take responsibility for yourself. Scroll down for ‘Nurture Yourself’ Gift Guide (my twist on this year’s Mother’s Day Gift Guide).

My top 5 steps to Nurturing Yourself
Take good care of yourself
Make sure you eat right and get plenty of rest, sleep, fresh air and exercise. Keep yourself healthy and fit. Practicing good self-care is an essential part of this process.
Do nice things for yourself.
Get into the habit of doing special things for yourself. Create a Morning Ritual and Evening Ritual. Visit the sauna, get a massage or draw yourself a bath filled with Olverum Bath Oil. Linger in it and relax. Make yourself a candlelight dinner — a delicious meal in a special setting.
Set healthy boundaries with others.
Let people know what you want and don’t want. Tell them what’s okay for you and what’s not.
Believe in yourself.
Remember your uniqueness, tell yourself how special you are – simply become your own strongest supporter, coach and cheerleader.
Be compassionate with yourself.
Have compassion for yourself – flaws and all. Remember; you are human and you’re going to make mistakes – we all do! Don’t punish or criticise yourself. Reassure yourself. Comfort yourself. Accept yourself unconditionally.
